I am pretty sick of chain stores now.

I want some variety. Everywhere I go its the same ol shit that you would find anywhere else and I pretty much don't have to venture far anymore because I am reassured that each suburb is pretty much identical to the next. I reckon if I did a case study on a 1km radius of Hong Kong, taking a sample from probably a popular suburb, I would not be suprised to find 80 McDonalds and 80 of the same stores.

So I'm pretty much uninspired and disinterested in shopping (not that I was ever that excited by it anyway) and in a nut shell, without doing touristy things, I could potentially be bored of Hong Kong within the week. So I conclude that if I was not working here, a week is all I need to superficially gloss over the city.

So now, mentally I would prefer to go to random eateries rather than the huge chains and quite ironically I would still only probably go to the bigger clothing stores only. Speaking of food, I am kind of hungry and I must admit, being here for so long, I still have not had some good old fashion stir fry noodles. That is saddening to my stomach.

O, and the weather has gotten a lot colder thanks to some north-originating wind bringing along a huge drop in temperature. Which is worrying, as I don't have anything substantially warm. I think I'm doing alright all by my lonesome though.

Thoughts of the day:

1. This world runs on liquidity. Liquidity is a trust thing. Therefore this world runs on trust. How does one rebuild trust in order to set the world in motion financially?

2. Money probably does make this world go around.

3. Too much free time at work, and I feel like I need to manage my stress from thinking about the root of the problems in this world.

ok so i know im a bit slow but i just finsihed the OC

and on another note, the design of the olympic torch i must say is quite original and bold from the designs of previous torches

to my knowledge previous torches were the typical torch u would think with a vertical baton with the flame high above ur head

i think what china has done is quite clever realli, incorporating aestehtically an actual lantern symbolic of the location and the flame of olympia.

props man, and its not like its one of those torches that would kill ur arm for holding it up for so long
